Clean Water Access for a Persecuted Community

Clean Water Access for a Persecuted Community

In a rural mountain village, a community of believers is facing an urgent and ongoing crisis: access to clean water.

Water shortages in this region are a recurring reality, especially during the summer months. At times, the entire village struggles. But for Christian families, the situation is far more severe.

Although a public bore well exists, access is not always allowed. Believers are often blocked from using it during normal hours, harassed when they try, and forced to wait until late at night just to collect water. There have even been instances where the well was restricted and even damaged under the claim that it is "not for Christians".

What is already a difficult situation becomes, for them, unstable and at times completely inaccessible.

In recent days, conditions have worsened, leaving families—many with children—with little to no dependable access to water at all.

Why a Private Bore Well Matters

Providing a privately owned bore well for the believing community would:

  • Ensure reliable access to clean water, especially during the harsh summer season

  • Reduce vulnerability to outside interference or restriction

  • Allow the community to take greater responsibility for maintenance and protection

  • Provide a measure of stability and dignity in an already difficult environment

This work is crucial to meeting a basic human need while helping sustain a faithful community under pressure.
